This workshop is dedicated to supporting queer and trans voices in film, providing you with the skills to create work that resonates and disrupts.
In addition to the one-day workshop, participants can choose to add on a private consultation with Kait to discuss and refine their feature outline.
BIO:
Kait Schuster (she/her) is a screenwriting coach and teacher passionate about giving artists from cinematically underrepresented communities the tools to tell their own stories + disrupt the film industry.
As a writer-director-actor, Kait's work includes short films GERANIUM (Short of the Week, Panavision New Filmmaker Grant; NewFest, Palm Springs Int’l ShortFest, Salute Your Shorts, where it took home Best Overall Cinematography), GIANNA (Inside Out, Palm Springs ShortFest, Outfest; starring Rivkah Reyes + Margaret Cho), MA’AM, and web series, OH, LIZA (IndieWire Project of the Day).
Her first feature WHATEVER WHATEVER is currently in development with Killer Films.
Kait is an alumni of the Conservatory at the Atlantic Theater Company and is an advocate for building accessible film sets.
